The invention relates to a wheel type rotor wing vehicle. A vehicle body is set to be an upper layer and a lower layer, the upper layer is hemispherical and is a control and passenger compartment; the lower layer of the vehicle body adopts a ship body structure and is divided into a front cabin, a middle cabin and a rear cabin; a front parachute, a front gear case and auxiliary equipment are arranged in the front cabin and the rear cabin; a power unit is arranged in the middle cabin, the middle cabin is connected with the upper layer, four output shafts are arranged at the front side and the rear side of the vehicle body, inner ends of the output shafts are connected with turning heads; each turning head is fixed by a wing wheel composed of a wheel hub, blades and a wheel rim; when wheel rims of the four wing wheels are contacted with the ground, the wing wheels are converted into wheels, and the wheel type rotor wing vehicle is in a ground walking mode; and when the four wing wheels turn over upwards, planes of the wing wheels are upward and parallel to the vehicle body, the wing wheels rotating at high speed can produce downward thrust, so that the whole vehicle body can be lifted, and by adjusting angles of the wing wheels, the wheel type rotor wing vehicle can lift off and hover.
