The invention provides an automobile steering device yoke forge piece and a forging method thereof. The chemical components of material for the forge piece include, in mass percent, 0.42-0.48% of carbon, 0.60-0.90% of manganese, 0.15-0.35% of silicon, not greater than 0.035% of phosphorus and not greater than 0.035% of sulphur, with the balance being iron. The method comprises the steps of firstly sawing carbon steel prepared according to the above-mentioned proportions; heating blank material and forming blanks, performing pre-forging and finish forging, cutting burrs, and performing shot blasting, heat treatment, magnetic powder inspection and rust prevention treatment. The forging method of the forge piece can effectively improve the forge piece flow lines and the mechanical properties of the forge piece, save energy, improve the quality of the product and prolong the service life of the forge piece.
