The invention provides a trigger of a material elevator anti-falling safety device to overcome a defect that an existing trigger of the material elevator anti-falling safety device fails in preventing overspeed descending of a cage. The trigger of the material elevator anti-falling safety device comprises a speed sensing device, a pneumatic system and a controller; the speed sensing device, the pneumatic system and the controller all are fixedly connected with a cage frame and move synchronously together with the cage; a speed sensor arranged in the speed sensing device detects rotation data of a pulley in real time and transmits the rotation data of the pulley to a data processor; when a speed of the cage exceeds a set value, the data processor automatically starts an electromagnetic valve through an execution circuit so that high-pressure cylinder in an air storage tank flows to an air cylinder, and then an expansion link of the air cylinder moves upwards to push a brake assembly of the material elevator anti-falling safety device to move, thereby realizing stop of the cage.
