The invention relates to a handlebar type steering mechanism and method of a four wheeler, belongs to the technical field of automobiles, and mainly solves the problem that all the wheels of a handlebar type four wheeler cannot rotate approximately around an instantaneous steering center. The handlebar type four wheeler is provided with the steering mechanism, so that all the wheels can rotate approximately around the instantaneous steering center, and the security coefficient of the steering control of the four wheeler is increased.
