The invention discloses a tail-folding energy absorption system and belongs to the technical field of traffic and transportation. The tail-folding energy absorption system comprises a cab, a packing case, a shock absorber, an axle, wheels, a bracing plate, push-pull rods and push-pull generators, wherein the shock absorber is connected with the axle, the wheels are distributed on the axle, the push-pull rods and the push-pull generators are respectively arranged at the front and rear ends of the bracing plates, the two ends of a first push-pull rod are respectively connected with a lower baseplate of the packing case and the upper end of a first push-pull generator, and the two ends of a second push-pull rod are respectively connected with the lower baseplate of the packing case and the upper end of a second push-pull generator. According to the tail-folding energy absorption system disclosed by the invention, when a truck bumps on the road, the packing case also bumps up and down, so that the push-pull rods drive the generators to generate power, and then the gravitational potential energy of the packing case is converted into electric energy. The tail-folding energy absorption system disclosed by the invention is reasonable in design, simple in structure, and applicable to the design of a van truck generating system.
