The invention provides a heat insulating type car cover, belongs to the field of car protection, and aims at solving the problem of poor heat insulation effect of a current car cover. The heat insulating type car cover comprises a car cover unit and sponge cushions; a nest-shaped sponge cushion is mounted at each top corner of the lower surface of the car cover unit; L-shaped sponge cushions are mounted at four corners of the lower surface and some concave corners in the middle part of the car. When in use, the car cover is supported through the sponge cushions at the top corners, the concave covers and the four corners of the lower surface of the car; the car can form a space with the car cover, so that the heat insulation effect can be achieved; the car cover is small in size after being folded; the structure of the car cover is simple.
