The invention discloses an energy-saving warning street lamp which comprises a warning lamp body (1), a distance detector (2), a data analyzer (3), an illuminating lamp body (4) and a light sensor (5). The distance detector (2) aims at the center of a lane in a position far away from the distance detector (2), and a reference value of the distance detector (2) is determined. The reference value of the distance detector (2), a reference value of the light sensor (5), the allowable data fluctuation range and other index value ranges are stored in the data analyzer (3) of the energy-saving warning street lamp. After a power source is switched on, a system starts to work, data are measured through the distance detector (2) and transmitted to the data analyzer (3) to be analyzed and judged; a vehicle gets close to a trigger sensor, the illuminating lamp body (4) starts to work, the warning lamp body (1) is started after a period of set time, and the illuminating lamp body (4) and the warning lamp body (1) stop working after a period of set time respectively. By means of the energy-saving warning street lamp, traffic accidents are avoided, losses are reduced to the greatest extent, and meanwhile energy source consumption is reduced to the greatest extent.
