The invention relates to a light coiling block for a crane. The light coiling block comprises a coiling block body. An inner cavity is formed in the coiling block body. A strengthening support A and a strengthening support B are arranged at the positions, close to the two ends of the coiling block body, in the inner cavity respectively and are each composed of an inner supporting ring, an outer supporting ring and strengthening ribs. A left supporting shaft is connected between a left baffle and the strengthening support A. A right supporting shaft is arranged between a right baffle and the strengthening support B. Grooves parallel to the axis direction of the coiling block body are formed in the inner wall of the coiling block body. Spiral rope grooves are formed in the outer wall of the coiling block body. Steel wire rope pressing plates are arranged at the position, close to the left end, of the outer wall of the coiling lock body and are connected with the coiling block body through studs. Steel wire ropes are arranged between the steel wire rope pressing plates and the coiling block body. The light coiling block is light in structure and high in overall strength and bearing capability.
