The present invention discloses a boat hook apparatus for a single-pivot lifeboat. The boat hook apparatus comprises a suspension hook, a support pin, two side plates, an unhooking mechanism, a locking device, an unlocking mechanism, a mounting plate and a safety latch. According to the structure of the apparatus, the locking device, the unlocking mechanism and the unhooking mechanism are coordinately cooperated, and the possibility that the boat hook is accidently unhooked during the lifeboat lowering process is eliminated due to the fact that a locking pin is abutted against a lower swing rod of the suspension hook under the effect of a spring. When on-load unhooking is required, the locking pin is downwardly pressed by the unlocking mechanism and is prevented from blocking unhooking of the suspension hook, and unhooking is carried out through operation of the releasing mechanism. Resistance moment, which is generated by frictional force between a suspension ring and the suspension hook and is required to be overcome when on-load release is carried out, can be effectively reduced by offsetting a certain distance between the rotation center of the suspension hook and the bearing axis of the suspension hook. The apparatus has the characteristics that the apparatus is reasonable in design and simple in structure, locking is safe and reliable when bearing a load, and unhooking is laborsaving, and on-load release operation requirements of the single-pivot lifeboat hook can be satisfied.
