The invention discloses a control method of a monoaxial parallel hybrid power system, which can improve control reliability and safety and full combines working characteristics of an engine and a motor for torque distribution so as to improve the working efficiency of the engine, the motor and a battery. The control method comprises the steps of detecting and judging whether a brake pedal and an acceleration pedal move or not, if the brake pedal and the acceleration pedal move at the same time, or the brake pedal and the acceleration pedal both do not move or only the brake pedal moves, outputting a brake torque according to the position of the brake pedal; if the brake pedal does not move and the acceleration pedal moves, calibrating and outputting a required driving torque. The method realizes priority in braking, improves driving safety of a vehicle, avoids safety accidents caused by maloperation of the acceleration pedal, and reduces the damage to the vehicle caused by the fact that the acceleration pedal and the brake pedal are triggered at the same time; when the brake pedal and the acceleration pedal both have no action, the vehicle is controlled to enter a brake mode to perform braking sliding, and fully recovers braking energy.
