A truck axle load real time monitoring method and device are provided; the method comprises the following steps: respectively symmetrically arranging 4 strain gages on two sides of an axle in an axial direction; forming a wheatstone full bridge circuit, and the strain gages are arranged in connecting portions between the wheels and the axle, and between a suspension and the axle; the strain bridge circuit can collect the present strain values on the surface of the axle; a controller controls a display meter and an alarm to send corresponding indication signals according to the present axle surface strain value; an axle load monitoring device comprises a strain bridge, an analog-digital converter, a filter, the controller, the display meter and the alarm device; the strain bridge, the analog-digital converter, the filter, the controller, the display meter and the alarm device are connected in sequence. The method and device are low in cost, simple in usage, easy to promote, can accurately monitor the truck axle load when the load ratio on two sides of the axle is uncertain, can warn a driver in overload, thus effectively reducing accident generation possibility.
