The invention is suitable for the field of automobiles, and provides a method for supplying power and vehicle information to vehicle-mounted equipment through an OBD, and the method comprises the steps: obtaining power from a vehicle power supply; and enabling the obtained power to be outputted to the vehicle-mounted equipment through a power pin of an OBD connector. The invention also discloses a device for supplying power and vehicle information to vehicle-mounted equipment through the OBD, and the device comprises a power obtaining unit which is used for obtaining power from the vehicle power supply; and a power pin unit which is used for outputting the obtained power to the vehicle-mounted power equipment through the power in in the OBD connector. According to the invention, the OBD connector is additionally provided with a function extension interface, and the vehicle-mounted equipment directly obtains power from the function extension interface, does not need to obtain power from a cigar lighter socket, an indoor top lamp or a fuse box, does not need to break a wire indeed, is convenient to install, protects the power supply of an original automobile, and is safe and reliable. The function extension interface comprises a plurality of pins with different functions, so the device can provide functions for the vehicle-mounted equipment, such as driving computer information, backup track, tyre pressure monitoring and intelligent window lifter.
