The invention provides a dual fuel locomotive with excellent safety guarantee. The dual fuel engine includes a first driver room at the head of the locomotive, a second driver room located at the rear of the locomotive, a plurality of passenger compartments, a cooling room, a power room, an electrical room, an LNG room, locomotive electrical equipment, and methane and fire alarm system. The methane and fire alarm system includes a plurality of methane alarm hosts, a plurality of methane alarm sensors, a plurality of fire alarm hosts, a plurality of fire alarm probes, an inverter power supply, an alternating current locomotive body fan motor, an explosion-proof locomotive body fan motor, a plurality of alarm lamps, a locomotive microcomputer and a plurality of gas pipeline control solenoid valves. In accordance with the principles and methods regulated by the technology, hardware layout and electrical wiring installation are carried out in the locomotive to realize effective detection of combustible gas leakage, flame detection, and flammable gas leakage prevention. The invention improves the operation safety of the dual fuel locomotive, and has very high use value.
