Provided is a short-time track prediction method based on air traffic management historical data mining. The method includes: firstly, extracting track data of an aircraft recorded by an air traffic management system, classifying the data, and forming a track group by same kind of tracks; secondly, extracting and obtaining a key track point track group capable of representing information of the track group by eliminating redundant information of each track of the aircraft; then performing space-time registration of the key track point track group, conducting a cluster analysis, forming experienced key track points, and forming an experienced track; and finally, performing short-time track prediction of the aircraft based on the experienced track, and updating the experienced track by employing the actual operation track of the aircraft. According to the method, based on real air traffic management data as the data source, it is illustrated that the method can eliminate adverse influences of stray track on track prediction by experiment, accurate track prediction can be made according to known track information, the method can be applied to route planning, air traffic management, and spatial domain surveillance etc., and the method is advantaged by high accuracy of track prediction and simple requirement of parameters.
