The invention discloses a signal intersection road travel time calculating method based on mobile phone switching data. The method comprises the steps of: 1, collecting mobile phone switching data of complete travelling of a vehicle and signal timing information of a passed intersection; 2, calculating a free travelling time and a congestion time of an upstream road of the intersection, and obtaining the time when the vehicle arrives at the intersection; 3, according to the time when the vehicle arrives at the intersection and the signal timing information of the intersection, determining the waiting time of the vehicle; and 4, calculating the complete travelling time of the vehicle. Combined with the signal timing scheme and the mobile phone switching data, the method can be used for precisely calculating the travelling time of the vehicle on the road where the coverage range of the mobile phone is switched, real-time and accurate road condition information is provided, and convenience is provided for a driver.
