The invention discloses a span-adjustable gantry crane which comprises pulley blocks, a beam, pin shafts, lifting forks and plate hooks. The pulley blocks are installed at the upper end of the beam and movably connected with the beam. The lifting forks are movably arranged on the beam through the pin shafts. The plate hooks are movably connected with the lifting forks. Special-shaped holes are machined in the beam and each provided with two or more cavities which are formed at certain intervals. The size of the cavities is attached to the profile of the lower portions of the pin shafts, contact stress is reduced, and spaces are reserved on the upper portions of the cavities; a shaft is allowed to slide to another cavity from one cavity, and the two sides of each pin shaft are provided with pressing covers; through pretightening friction force, the shaft is fixed to the target position; and span is adjusted, the utilization rate of the gantry crane is increased, cost is lowered, and the idling period caused by mounting debugging is shortened. The span-adjustable gantry crane is suitable for steel mill metallurgy workshops, especially the busy workshops where steel ladles of various specifications need to be lifted.
