The invention provides a Multiple Units power supply system, an external power supply method and Multiple Units; wherein the Multiple Units power supply system comprises a main transformer, a four-quadrant chopper, an auxiliary converter and a DC-DC motor. The main transformer is used for acquiring electric energy from an overhead contact line. The input end of the four-quadrant chopper is electrically connected with the output end of the main transformer and is used for converting the electric energy which is acquired from the main transformer to DC power, and the output end is electrically connected with the input end of the auxiliary converter and the input end of the DC-DC module. The auxiliary converter is used for converting the DC power which is output from the four-quadrant chopper to AC power which is used by auxiliary equipment of the Multiple Units. The DC-DC module is used for converting the DC power which is output from the four-quadrant chopper to low-voltage DC power. The Multiple Units power supply system, the external power supply method and the Multiple Units according to the invention have an advantage of improving reliability of the power supply system.
