The invention relates to an air traffic control sector traffic capacity detection method based on principal component analysis. The method includes the following steps of 1, variable selection, 2, data processing, 3, principal component determination, 4, calculation of sector operating performance comprehensive indexes, and 5, sector traffic capacity detection. Based on collectability of real-time operation data, a sector operating performance quantitative index system with completeness and universality is established. All-dimension indexes affecting sector operating performance are completely and comprehensively considered, the novel sector traffic capacity detection method based on multi-attribute decision-making is provided, and compared with a traditional sector traffic capacity detection method, the air traffic control sector traffic capacity detection method is comprehensive, more scientific and more accurate.
