The invention provides an embossed rail and a manufacturing method thereof to overcome the problem of damage or derailing of a polyurethane adhesive layer caused by proneness to skidding of a monorail crane during driving. The embossed rail comprises: a first transverse plate; a web, wherein one end of the web is connected with the first transverse plate, and two sides of the web are both provided with a plurality of friction grooves; and a second transverse plate, which is connected with the other end of the web; wherein the first transverse plate, the web and the second transverse plate form a first space and a second space used for accommodating driving wheels. The method comprises the following steps: fabricating a first roller and a second roller; fixing the fabricated first roller and second roller through a rack and connecting the first roller and the second roller to a drive unit; placing raw materials of the embossed rail between the first roller and the second roller; and pressing the friction grooves on the raw materials of the embossed rail via the first roller and the second roller under driving of the drive unit. The embossed rail and the manufacturing method thereof can prevent occurrence of problems like derailing without reducing the service life of the polyurethane adhesive layer.
