The invention belongs to the technical field of elevator safety and discloses a signal-transmission type motor sudden stop control system. The system comprises a power source, a sudden stop controller, a motor, a wire harness, infrared monitors, a thermal imagery analyzer and stress sensors, the power source, the sudden stop controller and the motor are all arranged below an escalator, steps of the escalator are driven by the motor to move, the first infrared monitors are symmetrically arranged on an escalator outlet plate, and the second infrared monitors are symmetrically arranged on an escalator handrail plate. According to the signal-transmission type motor sudden stop control system, the sudden stop controller can judge the degree of crowdedness at the escalator exit according to the circumstance monitored by the first infrared monitors; when crowdedness or stampede accidents occur at the exit, the sudden stop controller controls the motor to stop running in time. The system is reasonable in design, simple in structure and applicable to optimization design for an escalator crowdedness or stampede accident impairment-reduction system.
