The invention discloses a method for detecting early abnormalities of a momentum wheel of a satellite based on Shewhart control charts, which relates to a method for detecting early abnormalities of a momentum wheel of a satellite. The invention aims to solve the problems of poor accuracy, large calculated amount, low efficiency, and fluctuation influence on detection results because early abnormalities can not be detected out. The method disclosed by the invention is implemented through the following steps: 1, calculating an electric current-rotating speed ratio of the momentum wheel of the satellite in the steady-state process; 2, evaluating a statistical property of the electric current-rotating speed ratio of the momentum wheel of the satellite in the steady-state process; 3, determining threshold values of a Shewhart single-value control chart and a moving range control chart; 4, selecting an electric current value and rotating speed value of the satellite in a steady-state section; 5, taking Xi as a controlled point; 6, drawing Xi in the Shewhart single-value control chart; 7, judging whether the fluctuation of the electric current-rotating speed ratio is normal; and 8, judging whether the working state of the momentum wheel of the satellite is normal, and the like. The method disclosed by the invention is applied to the field of detection on early abnormalities of momentum wheels of satellites.
