A self-disinfected water tank for vessels comprises a water accommodating part, a water inlet, a water outlet pipeline, a switch valve located on the water outlet pipeline and a water outlet formed in the tail end of the water outlet pipeline. The water tank further comprises a controller, a disinfectant accommodating part for accommodating a disinfectant, an electromagnetic valve for controlling opening and closing of a connection pipeline of the water accommodating part and the disinfectant accommodating part and a flow meter located on the water outlet pipeline and used for monitoring water outlet flow of the water outlet. When the water outlet flow of the water outlet reaches a set value, the controller controls the electromagnetic valve to be opened, so that the disinfectant can be added, and the water accommodating part can be disinfected. The water tank can be automatically disinfected, so that risks of bacterium breeding are reduced, and the health of seamen is guaranteed.
