The invention relates to a diver underwater rock avoiding system based on data communication. The diver underwater rock avoiding system comprises an overhead fixing platform, rock detection equipment and a shore-based control platform, wherein the rock detection equipment is positioned on the overhead fixing platform, and used for detecting whether rock exists in front of a diver or not; and the shore-based control platform is connected with the rock detection equipment in order to receive an identification result of the rock detection equipment. Through adoption of the diver underwater rock avoiding system, the diver can avoid the rock automatically in an advancing process, and a diving suit is prevented from being broken by the rock.
