The invention provides a midair PM2.5 detection system. The system comprises an unmanned aircraft. The unmanned aircraft comprises a fuselage, a tail, a framework, and a propeller; two sides of the fuselage are both provided with a floating drum, two ends of each floating drum are respectively provided with an air inlet and an air outlet; a PM2.5 detector that is communicated with the air inlet and air outlet is arranged in each floating drum; and a GPS clock control module, a PLC controller, a power supply device, and a wireless communication module are arranged in the fuselage. The aircraft is provided with a PM2.5 detector, a harmful gas detection sensor, and a GPS clock control module, based on the GPS standards, the clock collects the monitoring data of midair dust particles, the data is transmitted by a wireless communication module through a wireless network, the data is obtained continuously in real time and transmitted instantly, and haze forecast is performed on the basis of the data.
