The invention relates to a below-ship submerged reef recognition device combining wavelet filters with median filters. The device comprises a ship bottom installing platform, laser imaging equipment and submerged reef searching equipment. The ship bottom installing platform is located right in front of the ship bottom. The laser imaging equipment and the submerged reef searching equipment are both located on the ship bottom installing platform. The laser imaging equipment is used for conducting laser photographing on the right front side of the ship bottom to obtain underwater laser images. The submerged reef searching equipment is connected with the laser imaging equipment, and whether submerged reefs exist right in front of the ship bottom is determined based on the underwater laser images. By means of the device, the submerged reefs in front of the ship bottom can be automatically recognized and avoided, and stranding accidents are avoided while underwater terrains are explored.
