The invention discloses a fingerprint starting device for an automobile. The fingerprint starting device comprises an ignition unit which is used for starting a transmitter and connected with an accumulator through a relay. The relay is connected with a wireless receiving unit for receiving a power-on signal. The fingerprint starting device further comprises an ignition controller which comprises a first fingerprint inductor for inducting a fingerprint, a central processing unit (CPU) and a wireless transmitting unit. The CPU is used for judging whether the fingerprint is matched with a prestored fingerprint and transmitting the power-on signal to the relay. The wireless transmitting unit is used for transmitting the power-on signal to the wireless receiving unit. The relay is connected into the ignition unit of an engine, whether the relay is powered on to enable the ignition unit to ignite to start the automobile is judged through recognition of the fingerprint, and accordingly the automobile is ignited according to biological characteristics, and the safety of the automobile is improved.
