The invention discloses an energy-saving control system for a vehicle. According to the energy-saving control system for the vehicle, when an electronic control unit detects that electric energy stored by energy storage equipment is greater than a preset electric energy storage threshold, a motor drive unit is selected to provide power for a secondary component; when the electronic control unit detects that the stored electric energy is smaller than or equal to the preset electric energy storage threshold, an engine drive unit is selected to provide power for the secondary component. The secondary component provides working power for a vehicle working assembly under the driving of the motor drive unit or the engine drive unit and the working condition of a pump. The motor drive unit provides power for the secondary component through a motor. The engine drive unit provides power for the secondary component through an engine, and the engine drives the motor to generate electricity when the vehicle stops working. By means of the scheme, energy consumption of the vehicle is reduced under the condition of not affecting the normal life and production, and the energy saving effect is achieved to the maximum extent.
