The invention discloses a domestic elevator traction machine driving device. The driving device is installed in an elevator shaft and comprises a traction machine, a top crossbeam, a guide wheel crossbeam and a guide assembly. Both the top crossbeam and the guide wheel crossbeam are installed on the upper portion of the inner wall of the elevator shaft in an embedded mode. The traction machine is fixedly installed on the upper portion of the top crossbeam by means of bolts. The guide assembly is composed of a guide wheel and a base. The guide wheel is installed in the middle of the base through a rotary shaft. The base is fixedly installed between the top crossbeam and the guide wheel crossbeam. The traction machine and the guide wheel are connected by means of a traction chain. The two ends of the traction chain are connected with an elevator car and a counter weight respectively. A guide rail is further arranged in the elevator shaft. A speed governor installation base is arranged on the upper portion of the guide rail. According to the domestic elevator traction machine driving device, the installation way of the traction machine is simplified, installation cost is reduced, the internal space of the elevator shaft is used to the maximum extent, and stability is guaranteed and noise is avoided in the operation process of an elevator.
