The invention discloses an improvement method for a hydraulic lifter for a building. According to the method, a hydraulic oil path and a hydraulic element are used as a control system; a motor drives an oil pump as a power source of the system; a travel switch is used as a positioning element for realizing precise positioning of the position of a hanging basket. In order to realize automatic operation requirements, a PLC (programmable logic controller) is adopted as a control element of an electrical appliance device, so that automatic control on the system is realized; in order to increase the system safety, an anti-dropping device is additionally arranged the tail end of a steel wire rope, so that the system reliability is reinforced; the brake part of the device is completed by dragging a belt type brake by a brake oil cylinder. The improvement method is simple in principle, convenient in operation, high in precision and reliability and capable of greatly reducing equipment fault risk.
