A transmission control device (4) is provided with the following: a transmission gear ratio calculation section (4a) for calculating the target transmission gear ratio for a transmission (2) in accordance with a transmission gear ratio control mode, and thereby controlling such transmission; an electric motor drive torque calculation section (4b) for, if an electric motor (9) can be driven, calculating the drive torque of the electric motor (9) in accordance with the transmission gear ratio control mode; and an engine torque calculation section (4c) for calculating the output torque of an engine (1) in accordance with the transmission gear ratio control mode, so as to enter a best fuel efficiency operation state. The transmission gear ratio calculation section (4a) switches the transmission gear ratio calculation processing on the basis of whether the electric motor (9) can be driven or not.
