The invention relates to a brake system, comprising a master cylinder (1) and an electric servo brake. The brake system has an electric motor, which drives a screw by means of helical gears (231), which are born by a shaft (232), which bears a gear (233), which meshes with a gear rack (24a, 24b). The two gear racks (24a, 24b) are guided in rails (251) of the body (25) of the electric servo brake (2). A lever (28) lies on the gear racks (24a, 24b) by means of the two ends (281a, 281b) of the lever. The lever is connected to a support (29) by means of a pivot point (282), which support lies flat against the side (271) of the reaction disk (27), which in turn lies against the push rod that actuates the master cylinder (1).
