The invention discloses a solar traffic signal machine and a strongest light acquiring method thereof. The solar traffic signal machine is characterized in that the solar traffic signal machine includes a triangular sensor array used for calculating the elevation angle of a steering engine, a solar panel, a horizontal rotary table, a stepping motor, an LED signal lamp, a circular sensor array used for calculating the horizontal angle of the stepping motor, a base cabinet, a switch, a solar panel rotary support, the steering gear and a control board, wherein the control board acquires the data of the circular sensor array, calculates the horizontal angle of the stepping motor according to the intensity of sun light, and controls the stepping motor to move to a direction where light is strongest, and then, acquires the data of the triangular sensor array and calculates the elevation angle of the steering engine according to the intensity of the sun light, and controls the steering engine to make the sun light vertically irradiate the solar panel. With the solar traffic signal machine and the strongest light acquiring method thereof of the invention adopted, the sun light can vertically irradiate the solar panel at any time, and charging efficiency can be improved.
