The invention provides a method for preventing a train from being derailed, comprising the following two steps: (1) arranging stop piles at the two sides of a roadbed or crosstie at regular intervals, and fixing the stop piles at the two sides of the roadbed or crosstie symmetrically; and (2) arranging security truss girders at the two sides of a train, wherein the stop piles are higher than the security truss girders of the train. The method has the following advantages: installation of the stop piles does not affect the original railway structure, and the method is suitable for modification of inherent railways; railways equipped with the stop piles do not affect running of trains not equipped with the security truss girders, and a modified train can run on an unimproved railway; the stop piles can be either arranged on a whole railway or arranged on high-risk railway sections; and there is friction contact between the stop piles and the security truss girders only when a train tilts relative to the track plane, and therefore, the comfort of trains in normal operation is not affected.
