The invention discloses an electronic parking braking system. The system comprises an electronic parking braking system controller and an execution mechanism, wherein the execution mechanism comprises a motor, a speed reduction mechanism, a piston, a brake pad and a brake disc. The electronic parking braking system is also provided with a hydraulic transmission device, wherein a piston is arranged in a hydraulic cylinder of the hydraulic transmission device and matched with the hydraulic cylinder. The invention further discloses a parking control method of the electronic parking braking system. By the adoption of the technical scheme, the maximum braking force bottleneck problem caused by limitation on the maximum output torque of the motor is solved, and high parking force output is achieved under the condition that the maximum output torque of the motor is unchanged; under the condition that the maximum parking force is unchanged, parking time can be shortened, mechanical noise caused during parking can be reduced, and using comfort level can be increased for users while the electricity consumption of a whole vehicle is reduced; the requirement for the maximum output torque of the motor can also be reduced, the size and mass of the execution mechanism can be reduced, and system cost can be reduced.
