The invention discloses an electronic water pump control method of a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle. After an air conditioner of the vehicle is switched on, a heating defrosting request is enabled; whether the vehicle is in an EV mode or not is judged, only an HVH electronic water pump is started if the vehicle is in the EV mode, and engine rotation speed information is acquired if the vehicle is not in the EV mode; if the rotation speed is higher than the idling limit rotation speed, an engine water pump is started, the HVH electronic water pump is shut down, and if the rotation speed is lower than the idling limit rotation speed, the engine water pump and the HVH electronic water pump are started simultaneously. By means of the control method, the flow of an HVAC heating core can be increased by controlling the working mode of the electronic water pump according to different driving modes and working conditions of the vehicle in a low-temperature environment, the improvement of the defrosting performance is achieved, and the heating comfort requirement is met.
