A method of controlling a conveyance rate of grain of an unloader system (12), including providing a grain holding device (14) and an unloader (12) in communication with the grain holding device (14), the unloader (12) having an inlet (28) for receiving grain from the grain holding device (14) and an outlet (62) for discharging grain. An apparatus (18) within the grain holding device (14) is operable for controllably feeding grain within the grain holding device (14) to the unloader (12) and includes a power source. The method is characterized by monitoring (84, 184) a parameter associated with the power source of the apparatus (18), comparing (86, 186) the parameter of the power source to a maximum predetermined threshold value, and automatically controlling (88, 90, 92, 94, 96, 98, 188, 190, 192, 194, 196, 198) the conveyance rate of grain of the apparatus (18) to the unloader (12).
