The invention provides an urban road section traffic guidance method and apparatus based on vehicle-road collaboration. The state information of a vehicle entering a road section is transmitted to a road side device in real time in a wireless manner, a safety distance, an optimum vehicle speed and congestion information of road ahead during the driving process of the vehicle can be obtained by virtue of an induction algorithm according to the traffic flow information ahead and the signal lamp state information and are transmitted to a vehicle-mounted device in a wireless manner to be displayed. By adopting the method, the travel efficiency of the vehicle can be improved, the overall benefit of an intersection can be improved, and a purpose of alleviating the congestion can be realized.
