In a brake cylinder device having a fluid brake mechanism and a parking spring brake mechanism, the present invention limits increased restrictions on parking brake spring design conditions while shortening the overall length of the brake cylinder device. The parking spring brake mechanism (40) comprises: a second piston (41); a second piston cylinder section (46) extending from the second piston (41) in the advance direction (X1); a second spring (42) for biasing the second piston (41) in the advance direction (X1) by one end abutting against a second support section (25b), which is fixed to a cylinder body (21); and a second pressure chamber (S21), which is on the opposite side of the interposed second piston cylinder section (46) from a second spring (42)-accommodating space (S22). The second spring (42) is disposed on the inside of the second piston cylinder section (46) and the second pressure chamber (S21) is disposed on the outside of the second piston cylinder section (46).
