The invention discloses a traffic condition prompting method, device and system. The traffic condition prompting method comprises the steps that a cloud-side server acquires position information of a vehicle, vehicle speed information of the vehicle and traffic light information in front of the vehicle; and the cloud-side server judges whether the vehicle can pass the traffic light under the current state according to the position information of the vehicle, the vehicle speed information of the vehicle and the traffic light information in front of the vehicle and prompts a driver according to the judgment result. According to the traffic condition prompting method, driving labor intensity of the driver is mitigated so that traffic accident rate is reduced. Besides, damage to a photographing device in the vehicle can be reduced, the service life of the photographing device can be prolonged and energy consumption of the vehicle and the economic burden of a user can also be reduced.
