The invention discloses a mode recognition prompting system for signal lamps. The system comprises a power supply module, a prompting module, a central control module and a camera, wherein the prompting module, the central control module and the camera are connected with the power supply module. The prompting module and the camera are connected with the central control module. The central control module is composed of a positioning module, a mode recognition module connected with the positioning module, and a speed sensing module connected with the mode recognition module. The system is characterized in that the speed sensing module is composed of a processor, an A/D conversion module, a storage module, an execution module and a speed sensor. The A/D conversion module, the storage module and the execution module are connected with the processor. The speed sensor is connected with the A/D conversion module. By means of the system, drivers are reminded of the states of signal lamps in front of the drivers. In this way, the safe driving problem of running a red lamp by mistake due to the fatigue driving or the divergent thinking of drivers can be solved. At the same time, the states of signal lamps can be judged accurately. Therefore, the occurrence of safety hazards to drivers due to misjudgement can be avoided.
