A differential worm gear reducer for a wind driven generator tower elevator is characterized in that two transverse bevel gears are respectively arranged in the hollow shaft heads of two differential shells, and two longitudinal bevel gears are respectively arranged at two ends of a center shaft; the left and right differential shells are fastened in a worm gear inner ring by using a screw assembly, and the upper and lower heads of the center shaft are clamped at the centers of the two differential shells simultaneously, so that the two longitudinal bevel gears and the two transverse bevel gears are in 360-degree mutual inosculation; spline shaft heads of a left semi-shaft and a right semi-shaft are respectively inserted into spline shaft cores of the two transverse bevel gears.
