The invention relates to the technical field of underwater breathing apparatuses, in particular to a mermaid bionic gill type underwater breathing apparatus. The mermaid bionic gill type underwater breathing apparatus comprises a helmet and an oxygen producing device, wherein the helmet is connected with the oxygen producing device through a combined bracket; the oxygen producing device comprises a main breathing apparatus and an air filter which is arranged under the main breathing apparatus and connected with the main breathing apparatus; two air collecting covers are arranged between the main breathing apparatus and the air filter; the two air collecting covers are symmetrically arranged on the left side and the right side; a micro compressor is arranged in each air collecting cover; and a motor control switch for controlling the micro compressor is arranged on each air collecting cover. The mermaid bionic gill type underwater breathing apparatus provided by the invention is advantaged in that water-air separating function of a gill is replaced with a nano-silicon film material; a underwater independent air collecting and oxygen producing purpose is achieved by using electronic assistant equipment; and electric energy consumed by the equipment is supplemented by electric power generated by water flowing motion in the diving process.
