The invention belongs to the technical field of urban expressway traffic management, and particularly relates to an expressway transition area latent traffic conflict type analysis method based on a traffic scene radar. The expressway transition area latent traffic conflict type analysis method comprises the following steps arranging the traffic scene radar on an expressway transition area, setting the mounting height and mounting angle of the traffic scene radar and performing calibration; acquiring real-time data of the traffic scene radar; calculating a relative coordinate system distance between two moving objects in a detected area; determining a latent conflict between the moving objects; and obtaining the type of the traffic conflict. According to the expressway transition area latent traffic conflict type analysis method, the advantages of high radar response time, high detection accuracy for the moving object and accurate multi-target tracking in the traffic scene radar are used. Online determination for the expressway transition area latent traffic conflict object can be realized, and furthermore online calculation and determination for the traffic conflict type can be realized, thereby realizing a preventive effect for the traffic accident which does not occur, and providing an accurate determination basis for responsibility determination of the traffic accident which has already occur.
