The invention relates to the technical field of smart cities, specifically to an intelligent traffic guiding system for a smart city. The intelligent traffic guiding system comprises an intelligent traffic cloud server, traffic signal lamps and vehicle recognizers arranged on roads and vehicle terminals on a vehicle, wherein each vehicle terminal comprises an automobile sign module, a satellite positioning receiver, a processor, a display and a mobile communication module, wherein the control port of the intelligent traffic cloud server is electrically connected with the control ports of the traffic signal lamps, the data port of the intelligent traffic cloud server is connected with the vehicle recognizers and mobile communication modules of the vehicle terminals. The traffic flow density is determined based on the data from the satellite positioning receiver, and data of an RFID card reader, and the estimated passing time of a path can be calculated according to the traffic flow density during navigation. More scientific traffic guiding can be provided, and traffic street lamps are managed uniformly in the intelligent traffic system. The brightness of the street lamps can be automatically adjusted according to the lighting intensity and presence of vehicles on a path, thereby realizing the energy saving purposes. Parking information can be inquired automatically.
