The invention discloses a permanent magnetic chuck pneumatically controlling attraction and release. The permanent magnetic chuck comprises an air cylinder body. An air cylinder spindle head is arranged in the air cylinder body, and an iron block is fixed to the air cylinder spindle head. A permanent magnet is attracted to the iron block. A guide sleeve used for guiding the permanent magnet is connected to the power output end of the air cylinder body, and a buffering piece is arranged at the free end of the guide sleeve. Compared with the prior art, the permanent magnetic chuck has the beneficial effects that when air cylinder intakes air, the air cylinder spindle head drives the permanent magnet on the front face to stretch out of the guide sleeve to the buffering piece at the most front end, and a sheet ferromagnetic material can be attracted out by the permanent magnet at the moment; and the buffering piece is used for increasing the friction force of the whole device and the sheet ferromagnetic material to prevent skidding, the hollow sheet material can be easily grabbed, and faults are not likely to occur.
