The invention discloses a novel intelligent garment with a warning function. A physiological characteristic monitoring system comprises a monitoring system front end and a monitoring system rear end, wherein the monitoring system rear end comprises a light source and demodulation module (3) and a warning system (13); a spacesuit underwear (1) serving as the monitoring system front end comprises a first fiber bragg grating (FBG) (6), a second FBG (7), a third FBG (8), a fourth FBG (9), a fifth FBG (10) and a bent fiber (12); one end of the bent fiber is connected in series with an FBG, and the other end of the bent fiber is connected with the light source and demodulation module (3) through a fiber (2); and the first FBG (6), the second FBG (7), the third FBG (8), the fourth FBG (9) and the fifth FBG (10) are connected with the light source and demodulation module (3) through a coupler (5) by virtue of a fiber (4). The novel intelligent garment disclosed by the invention is simple in structure, high in detection accuracy, good in reliability, diverse in function, relatively low in manufacturing cost, and comfortable to wear. When the intelligent garment is applied to the field of space flight and aviation, the body temperature and breathing rate of a spaceman can be detected simultaneously, and thus the two physiological characteristics of the spaceman can be monitored in real time.
