The invention relates to an inspection hole device used for underwater inspection of a ship. The device comprises an inspection hole base (1a) which is fixedly connected to a rudder blade outer plate (5) and is of a hollow structure, an annular gland (1b) is installed at the top end of the inspection hole base, a flat plate transparent object (1e) isolating the annular gland from the inspection hole base is embedded between the annular gland and the inspection hole base, and a cover plate (1d) is fixedly connected to the top end of the annular gland. The flat plate transparent object is made of tempered glass or press-resistant glass. The upper end face of the cover plate is flush with the rudder blade outer plate. In the underwater inspection process, the inspection hole device can effectively prevent seawater from entering a watertight space, the service life of a hydraulic nut is prolonged, the hidden hazard that a rudderstock and a rudder pintle are corroded by the seawater is avoided, and maintenance cost is reduced. Besides, the inspection hole device is low in cost, convenient to operate and easy to use and popularize in the industry.
