The invention is suitable for the unmanned aerial vehicle technology field and provides an unmanned aerial vehicle monitoring method and an apparatus. The method comprises the following steps of sending a flight parameter to a preset management platform during a process that an unmanned aerial vehicle executes an application so that the management platform monitors the flight parameter after receiving the flight parameter; stopping executing the current application when control information sent by the management platform is received and executing an operation corresponding to the control information, wherein the control information comprises a control instruction triggered by the management platform according to the flight parameter and/or a control instruction manually triggered by operating personnel of the management platform. By using the method and the apparatus of the invention, a flight process of the unmanned aerial vehicle is monitored by the management platform; a problem that supervision of a current miniature civil unmanned aerial vehicle is in a blank state is solved; usage of the unmanned aerial vehicle is standardized and safety of the flight of the unmanned aerial vehicle is increased.
