The invention discloses a traffic signal setting method for elimination of cross signal intersection left-turn phase, i.e. when a left-turn vehicle enters a signal control intersection, left turning can be realized by a method of turning right and turning around and then moving straightly or moving straightly and turning around and then turning right so that the number of the intersection signal phase and signal conversion time loss can be reduced, and an objective of enhancing intersection traffic capacity can be achieved. According to the setting method, safety hidden trouble of the intersection caused by the left-turn vehicle can be solved, and the number of the intersection signal phase and signal conversion time loss can be reduced so that intersection traffic efficiency can be substantially enhanced.
