The invention provides a geomagnetism-based single-point self-optimization signal control method and mainly relates to the field of crossing traffic signal optimization control. Dynamic detection and signal optimization treatment of single crossing traffic state are realized through comprehensive application of novel geomagnetic detection equipment. The method includes geomagnetic equipment mounting, data collection and communication, single-point self-optimization signal treatment calculation and signal instruction distribution and control. The invention also provides a geomagnetism-based single-point self-optimization signal control device. According to the invention, by using the active geomagnetic detection technology, real time traffic state of a single crossing can be detected accurately and optimized signal control schemes can be made, so that real time decision and emergency processing information can be provided for traffic management and control and operation efficiency and service level of crossing road traffic can be improved.
